Steven is the President of Coastal Restaurant Equipment Rentals. His background is in Hotel/Restaurant Management and he is a graduate of Johnson & Wales University in Providence, RI.

Bernie Eisenstein

Born and raised in Vancouver, British Columbia, Bernie graduated from British Columbia Institute of Technology, majoring in Hotel and Restaurant Management. He studied at Cornell University in the same field. He became the manager of The Spaghetti Emporium in Vancouver and in 1971, was transferred to Atlanta to open and manage The Spaghetti Emporium in Underground Atlanta.

Bernie began a long career in food sales in 1973. Along the way, he diversified in several different businesses. In 1996, Bernie acquired a Mexican restaurant, El Azteca. He was also a partner in Vick Wholesale Equipment, a dealer in new and used restaurant equipment. He studied real estate and joined The Schumacher Group, which brokers sales of businesses.

Needless to say, with all of these experiences and attributes, Bernie would be a perfect match to join Steven in Coastal Restaurant Equipment Rentals.

Our newest hire is Pam Kridel who comes to us with over 20 years in the Hospitality Industry. She joins our Restaurant Rental team in sharing the same passion…”show you care, go that extra step and you will have a lifelong partner in the business.”

After getting her Masters In Hospitality Management, Pam created a niche clientele in realizing the lucrative possibilities for in-home private catering in the Miami market. While catering became more of a part-time job, Sysco Food Services recruited her to work its international customer base and then transferred her to the land of Southern Hospitality, Georgia.

Corporate event planning became Pam’s new direction for a number of years, then a break from the industry to become a residential real estate appraiser during the re-fi boom. Most recently, Pam worked on the broker side of the business, representing the major players in the industry…Tyson, Land O’Lakes, Smuckers, to name a few. Her diverse clientele ranged from Colleges/Universities, Business & Industry to small chains and Mom & Pop restaurants.

She looks forward to re-energizing her customer relationships by being a problem solver to the restaurant owner/catering manager when the need arises for rental of restaurant equipment. “Customer service is key because without it, you don’t make a lasting impression” is what Pam attributes her successes in the past, present and future.
